Founder and CEO
Shawn Evenhaim is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Los Angeles-based California Home Builders, A Division of Evenhaim Industries Corp. With over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, Shawn is recognized as one of the leading residential in-fill developers in Los Angeles.
As the CEO of California Home Builders, Shawn has developed in excess of 2,000,000 square feet of various residential products and has extensive experience in the entitlements and development of a wide range of residential product types including custom homes, tract homes and multifamily projects. Shawn has been a speaker on matters pertaining to entitlements, development and improving the way municipalities process development projects due to his expertise in the design and the development process.
Shawn Evenhaim served the City of Los Angeles in a number of development, planning and policy related capacities. Including the visionary behind the Expediting Unit in the Los Angeles Planning Department, as a Mayoral Appointee to its Development Reform Advisory Committee and as the Chair of the Los Angeles City Public Works Sub-Committee of the Development Industry Advisory Cabinet. Evenhaim is a member of the National Association of Home Builders and the Building Industry Association of Southern California. He is also a member of the Residential Purchasing Council (RPC), and served as the RPC President.

Shawn Evenhaim is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Los Angeles based Balaciano Group and is widely recognized as one of the leading residential developers in the Los Angeles market. He is the recipient of the prestigious Builder of the Year Award and has led the development of more than 3 million square feet of residential products across a broad range of asset types. His expertise spans entitlements, ground-up development, and complex urban projects.
Through his companies, Mr. Evenhaim currently owns and manages real estate assets valued at approximately $1.3 billion. In addition to Balaciano Group, he is the owner of Wilcox & Wilcox, an infrastructure company specializing in underground utilities. Mr. Evenhaim also holds an ownership stake in Shikun & Binui, a publicly traded global infrastructure and real estate development company, where he serves as Vice Chairman of the Board and remains actively involved in strategic oversight.
Mr. Evenhaim is a visiting professor and frequent speaker on topics related to entitlements, real estate development, and entrepreneurship. He has also served the City of Los Angeles in several leadership roles, including as a Mayoral Appointee to both the COVID-19 Mayor’s Economic Task Force and the Mayor’s Development Reform Committee.
Born and raised in Israel, Mr. Evenhaim served for five years as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) before immigrating to the United States. In 1994, after serving as President of a residential development company, he founded Balaciano Group, marking the beginning of a distinguished development career.
A committed philanthropist, Mr. Evenhaim was recognized as one of the Top 50 Jewish-Americans who have made a significant impact on the Jewish story. He serves in leadership roles on numerous nonprofit boards, including Birthright, the Jewish Federation, and the Israeli-American Council (IAC). Under Evenhaim’s leadership, the IAC expanded from a local, small organization to a nationwide movement. Currently, Evenhaim is the Chairman of the Israeli-American Council for Action.

Dorit Evenhaim
As a partner of Balaciano Group, Dorit has played a pivotal role in shaping the company over her 22-year tenure. Her unwavering dedication and expertise have been instrumental in building Balaciano Group into the success it is today. Dorit’s extensive responsibilities and keen oversight have been vital to the smooth operation of tenant-related processes.
Her work includes expertly managing tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring each transition is efficient and seamless. Additionally, Dorit handles bank reconciliations and the processing of all payables with meticulous care. An essential aspect of her role also involves maintaining the buildings to the highest standards, guaranteeing that they always present the best possible appearance and functionality.

Kathryn Rudnick
Kathryn began working in construction in 1988, with a major national homebuilder, and handled purchasing for thousands of tract homes, numerous large custom homes, and several multifamily projects.
Kathryn joined Balaciano Group in 2002. She is the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all aspects of construction and manages the corporate office in Canoga Park. She started at the company, then called California Home Builders, as a purchasing agent for multi-family and single-family construction projects. As the company expanded, she took on greater responsibilities including entitlements, scheduling and managing sales and lending coordination.
Kathryn developed systems for cost and quality control and integrated green building throughout the company, and is very proud to have contributed to Balaciano Group’s signature mixed-used ‘The Q’ buildings across Los Angeles. Kathryn has been an active member and has served on the board of directors for the Building Industry Association PASS Committee, the Residential Purchasing Council, and the National Association of Women in Construction.

Noam Hameiri
Noam joined Balaciano Group in 2011 and has since made a significant mark within the company, evolving from an Area Manager to the President of Property and Asset Management. His tenure at each level has been characterized by strategic innovation and impactful leadership.
Noam’s educational background is both diverse and distinguished, including an MBA in Strategic Planning and Business Intelligence from the University of Derby (Summa Cum Laude), a Master’s in International Security Affairs from the University of Tel Aviv (Magna Cum Laude), and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Haifa (Cum Laude). Drawing on his experience as a former Major in the Israeli Defense Forces, Noam brings a unique perspective to his role. His leadership skills, honed in one of the most challenging environments in the world, are complemented by his academic achievements. This combination enables him to lead the property and asset management operations with systematic efficiency, a focus on innovation, data-driven decision-making, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies.

Andrea Wolff
Andrea Wolff began her long-standing journey at Balaciano Group in 1995, becoming the second employee after the founder and contributing to its growth over an impressive 30-plus-year span. As the Controller, Andrea is responsible for the oversight of the company’s financial operations, including Payroll, Human Resources, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Insurance, and Banking. She effectively manages the daily accounting activities and provides critical financial reporting to the executive management and owner. A significant achievement in her role is the development and streamlining of the Human Resources and Payroll departments, contributing greatly to the operational efficiency of Balaciano Group.

Edan Evenhaim
Edan Evenhaim has been a dynamic part of Balaciano for 7 years, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the table. As the Director of Marketing and Resident Experience, he plays a crucial role in shaping the resident experience across the entire portfolio.
On the management side, Edan is constantly focused on how residents actually live day-to-day—and how we can keep improving that experience through thoughtful service standards, programming, and continuous refinement. On the development side, his involvement extends to the planning of new communities, where he helps consider building layout and how to design spaces that encourage resident interaction, while also incorporating unique, innovative amenities that elevate the overall lifestyle offering.
Through these efforts—and the marketing strategy that brings them to life—Edan has been pivotal in building The Q into one of the most recognizable and in-demand apartment living brands in Los Angeles.

Lisa Lenig
Lisa’s responsibilities include sourcing, purchasing, and specifying all products and materials for the company’s projects, with a particular focus on innovative and eco-friendly solutions. During her time with Balaciano Group, Lisa has been integral to the construction of hundreds of single-family homes and several multifamily apartment buildings. Her most recent projects involve The Q communities, expansive mixed-use developments featuring hundreds of apartment units. Beyond her role at Balaciano, Lisa was an active participant in the Building Industry Association (BIA), the National Association of Women in Construction, and served on the board of the Residential Purchasing Council.
Ken Choi
As General Counsel at Balaciano Group, Ken provides strategic legal guidance across a range of matters, including contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, litigation, and risk management. He advises on property management, construction, employment, real estate, and vendor agreements, ensuring the company’s operations remain aligned with evolving legal requirements. Ken also oversees intellectual property matters and partners with internal teams to deliver clear, actionable legal insight.
Before joining Balaciano, Ken brought with him two decades of legal experience—ten years as a Partner at a real estate law firm and another ten as General Counsel of an international real estate development company. Ken has played a key role in streamlining contract workflows and enhancing Balaciano’s compliance infrastructure, contributing to more agile and legally sound business operations.
Belle Petate
Belle is responsible for overseeing essential financial operations, including human resources and payroll. She also provides invaluable support to the Controller, COO, and CEO with the company’s financial matters. Belle’s dedication to the company’s fiscal integrity and her adeptness in managing complex financial tasks are key to fostering the company’s growth and ensuring operational excellence.
Yesica Rivas
Yesica oversees the operations of the company’s apartment portfolio. Yesica’s crucial roles include supporting on-site teams, driving property performance, and executing Balaciano’s strategic initiatives across all properties.
Yesica played a key role in the launch and development of The Q Living brand. She was instrumental in the opening of The Q Variel, the first community under The Q brand, and the rebranding efforts for a 376-unit apartment community in Playa del Rey, now known as The Q Playa. Her efforts have been vital to establishing The Q Living brand’s presence in the market.
Robert Johnson
Robert oversees the integration and administration of Balaciano’s property management software, ensuring operational efficiency and technological unity. His responsibilities extend to evaluating new technologies, streamlining workflows, and forging robust IT vendor relationships to elevate resident experiences.
Robert was instrumental in the smooth consolidation of various systems within Balaciano Group’s operations. He has established an in-house training program, designed to comprehensively educate team members on the IT knowledge necessary for efficient performance in their roles.
Cindy Woodhead
Before Cindy’s current role as Culture and Training Manager, she spent five years managing single family home sales for Balaciano Group. Today, she is instrumental in sculpting the organization’s culture and fostering talent development. Cindy works closely with hiring managers to attract and recruit top-tier professionals, ensuring their seamless integration into the team. Her dedication to employee development is evident in her creation and management of comprehensive training programs, designed to promote continual growth and success among team members.
Allison Stoltz
Allison brings over 26 years of extensive leasing experience to Balaciano Group. As the Regional Leasing Manager, she expertly oversees the leasing operations and revenue management for Balaciano’s diverse portfolio. A notable highlight of her tenure is her instrumental role in launching The Q Communities. Allison’s contributions were crucial to the seamless development and successful lease-up and continuous leasing of these communities, showcasing her skill and dedication. This achievement stands out as a testament to her expertise and marks a remarkable milestone for the Balaciano communities.
